Baby Boomer Childhood

I used this image in an assignment for Uni years ago. It represents the childhood of Baby Boomer children. She is represented by a Skipper doll (that was my mum's childhood toy). The image is in black and white to reflect the technology of the time. She is outside because children were allowed to play outside and often would play on their local streets with other neighbourhood children. Her clothes are quite conservative. Although little girls of the time did unfortunately have lower expectations than their modern counterparts I think they did have longer childhoods and weren't in such a rush to grow up.
